The Upper West Side is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city, and we continue to invest and maintain that beauty through our seasonal plants!
Recently we finalized planting over 75 tree pits throughout the district, bringing native perennials to our tree pits. Focusing on drought-tolerant and pollinator-friendly plants, with some annuals included for color, the plants will continue to grow, year after year, filling out the pits with greenery and seasonal blooms.
If you are interested in helping the BID keep the tree pits looking bright, vibrant, and healthy, stay tuned for community gardening events where we will plant daffodil bulbs and maintain the tree pits, ensuring Columbus Avenue remains verdant and full of natural beauty.
